This 5'11"
Asian can fly.
I'm Jason Chieu โ a 19-year-old Vietnamese-Chinese dunker documenting the climb from touching net to throwing it down. Powercleans, plyos, and a whole lot of reps, all on camera. Proof that Asian kids can hoop, jump, and fly too.
Famous for one idea: height is just a number.
Jason Chieu turns a stereotype into fuel. He's equal parts athlete, vertical-training nerd, and storyteller โ and he's spent the last year proving, in public, that a 5'11" Asian kid can fly.
Jason (full name Jason Chieu) is a 19-year-old aspiring professional dunker who is Vietnamese and Chinese โ and that heritage is central to why he posts. He's out to show that Asian Americans belong in dunking and athletics, full stop. Most people assume you need to be 6'4" with freak genetics to throw it down. Jason is 5'11" and built his hops the hard way: powercleans, plyometrics, and obsessive, documented work.
He films almost everything โ the makes, the misses, the “new fear unlocked” moments โ across 348 YouTube videos, 328 Instagram posts, and a TikTok that's earned 104.9K likes. His breakout, “From Touching Net to Dunking,” tells the whole story in one title. Next goal on the list: a clean windmill.
The journey isn't polished and that's the point. One of his most-watched reels is literally called “Only 10 followers?” โ because the climb is the content, and anybody who's ever been counted out can see themselves in it.

Dunk Camp 2026 โ Team 5
From touching net to throwing it down.
The short version of a long grind โ the one Jason documents because somebody out there has been told they're too short, too small, or too Asian to fly. They're not.
“Only 10 followers?”
Started posting the grind before anybody was watching โ touching net, chasing the rim, learning to jump.
Powercleans & plyos
Built the vertical the hard way: weight-room sessions, cone drills, and a training log the whole internet can see.
From Touching Net to Dunking
The video that put it together โ 8,000 views and counting on the transformation that defines the brand.
Dunk Camp ยท Team 5

“Prepping for Dunk Camp โ rim height 9'4". Three weeks left.”
That's the whole brand. Not “born with it” โ built it on camera. It's why shorter players and Asian hoopers everywhere see themselves in Jason.
